Fletcher-Flora Health Care Systems and Praxis Join Forces to Automate Transmission of Patient Results from Lab Instruments to Praxis EMR

Fletcher-Flora Health Care Systems, Inc. and Praxis Electronic Medical Records announced today a partnership to interface Praxis EMR, the only template-free electronic medical records system, with the FFlex eLink IMR system, the most cost-effective instrument management solution available today. This integration will enable doctors to electronically import patient results from their clinical lab instruments into their Praxis program.

“Small physician office labs are frequently excluded from taking advantage of today’s improved technology because of cost,” said Neal Flora, CEO of Fletcher-Flora. “FFlex eLink IMR provides a simple and cost-effective integration solution for this underserved segment of the industry.”

“This partnership will help Praxis and Fletcher-Flora customers receive maximum benefit from their investments while streamlining operations and providing better, more timely patient care,” added Richard Low, MD, President of Infor-Med Corporation, the company that develops Praxis EMR.

FFlex eLink IMR is software designed to provide much needed connectivity directly between a laboratory’s clinical instruments and an Electronic Medical Records, Practice Management System, Electronic Health Records or other host system. FFlex eLink IMR streamlines integration of one or more instruments to a host which reduces the need for manual transcription of results, and can increase lab efficiency, improve accuracy in the patient’s electronic record, and reduce liability associated with transcription errors. FFlex eLink IMR not only accepts patient results from instruments and transmits the data to an EMR system, but also provides a user interface that allows users to define tests and age/sex dependent reference ranges, approve or reject results, monitor real-time instrument logs, enter offline results from manual “bench” tests and print patient reports.
