CalOptima Regional Extension Center’s five preferred electronic health record vendors have integrated with COREC’s data analytics application to streamline and efficiently track the provider’s progress toward “meaningful use” of EHRs. Orange County physicians can access COREC’s platform through five preferred vendors: Comtron Corp. (Medgen), Med A-Z , Mitochon Systems, Office Ally and SuiteMed.
COREC is using SpectraMD’s Interactive Content Delivery and Analytics Platform to streamline the tracking for 1,000 priority primary care providers to achieve meaningful use of their EHRs. The platform is an analytic tool that tracks compliance, recommends remediation actions and displays progression reports of the meaningful use measures. The Meaningful Use Assessment and Gap Analysis report effectively presents the physician with their current practice status in reaching meaningful use.
“These reports help ready-set the physician practice to make the necessary workflow adjustments for meeting the required percentages for each measure and clinical quality objectives to qualify for the Medicare and Medi-Cal incentive payments,” said Karynsue Frank, COREC director. COREC provides post-EHR implementation guidance side-by-side with the provider and staff for the entire 90-day qualifying period to ensure the transition to an EHR and attestation to meaningful use is achieved.
Orange County providers who are enrolled with COREC have access to its analytic tools as well as other on-site technical services and practice workflow integration support.
“Access to an integrated analytic tool to measure progress in achieving specific care and quality improvement milestones could make the ultimate difference as providers prepare to qualify for federal EHR incentive payments,” said Frank.
