Doctors’ Resource Specialists has been selected as a top tier partner with the Arizona Regional Extension Center. This alliance program offers a unique collaborative opportunity to advance mutually beneficial goals around Electronic Health Records.
“This is a major achievement for DRS,“ said Sue Magalnick, President of DRS. “For 12 years we have provided outstanding service to our clients and have developed best practices for implementations of Electronic Medical Record products. We are honored to be chosen as a Preferred Partner.”
The REC Vendor Alliance Program is structured to offer health care providers in Arizona the freedom and flexibility to select the electronic health record (EHR) system best suited for their practice, while still providing guidance and direction to assist with that selection. Vendors in this tier meet Meaningful Use Stage 1 certification, satisfy additional Arizona-specific interoperability requirements and participate as REC Educational Affiliates. These vendors also have a significant EHR installed base in Arizona.
“As the medical community has changed, so has DRS,” explained Julie Serbin, co-founder and Vice President “Once strictly a medical billing company, DRS has moved into the EMR arena to help our doctors and clinics transition to a qualified paperless system that has allowed our clients to receive the governmental EHR Incentive money available to them. Our partnership with Optum and the Regional Extension Center will allow us another opportunity to offer technologically advanced, locally supported, affordable solutions to the medical community.”
