Greenway Medical Technologies has announced that PrimeMOBILE™, the mobile access solution for their PrimeSUITE® electronic health record customers, has been Microsoft-certified and is now available for download at the Windows 8 Store.
The Windows 8 version of the PrimeMOBILE app rounds out Greenway’s mobile suite that already included versions for iPad, iPhone, Android Phone, Android Tablet and Windows Phone. By extending PrimeMOBILE to the new Windows 8 platform, Greenway has made PrimeSUITE mobile-accessible from all leading smartphone tablet platforms.
“With the PrimeMOBILE app for Windows 8, PrimeSUITE customers can enjoy the user experience that comes with the best Windows 8 apps, with each provider accessing EHRs with a choice of touch-screen or traditional keyboard and mouse,” said Johnathan Samples, Greenway® executive vice president of innovation. “Our extension of mobile access to Windows 8 is another example of Greenway’s commitment to simplified access, helping ensure that any provider’s mobile device can contribute to delivery of the best care available.”
Greenway’s PrimeMOBILE app for Windows 8 provides complete remote access to patient data housed in Greenway’s EHR solution, enabling providers to securely view patient history and problem lists, progress notes and appointment schedules that encompass a provider’s entire patient population. All versions of the PrimeMOBILE app gives physicians and other clinicians access to the most common functionality of the Greenway PrimeSUITE EHR, enabling them to retrieve important care data from virtually any location.
According to the release, the Windows 8 version of PrimeMOBILE was developed in a pilot project that included Microsoft, Intel and several PrimeSUITE customers, including Seattle-area Pediatric Associates, Inc., PS, which has approximately 250,000 patient visits per year.
“Being involved in this project was very exciting, because it gave us the opportunity to look at how we can more effectively and efficiently deliver care at every point where a patient might be,” said Josephine Young, MD, MPH, Pediatric Associates’ chief operating officer. “It’s working with partners like Microsoft, Intel and Greenway that will really help launch us into the future.”
