Practice Fusion, the free Electronic Medical Records (EMR) company, announced today that it now has over 100,000 medical professional users serving 16 million patients. The company started the year with 55,000 users (82% increase) and 6 million patients (166% increase). More than 10,000 medical professionals sign up for the free, web-based EMR each month.
It’s always challenging to accurately understand real user growth with free products since there is no revenue to measure. However, the addition of 10 million patients through the 45,000 new medical professionals who began using Practice Fusion this year is extremely impressive. That means the average new professional user has added over 220 patients to their Practice Fusion system since the beginning of the year. That’s impressive.
Members of the Practice Fusion community which includes healthcare providers, technology experts, investors, reporters and medical sector leaders are invited to RSVP today for Practice Fusion Connect 2011 – the largest free EMR event. Held at the Nob Hill Masonic Center in San Francisco, the conference will include exclusive previews of new EMR features, live training sessions, networking with innovators and a keynote with CEO Ryan Howard.
“Practice Fusion is a dominant force for change in the healthcare sector,” said Ryan Howard, CEO and Founder of Practice Fusion. “Connect 2011 brings together medical providers and technology experts from the front lines and gives them a voice in the transformation.”
Registration for Practice Fusion Connect 2011 is now open online.
