Practice Velocity’s electronic medical record—VelociDoc—has again been rated #1 2015/2016 Category Leader for Urgent Care in the 2015/2016 Best in KLAS: Software & Services report.
KLAS, the independent company that monitors vendor performance in the healthcare industry, collected feedback from healthcare providers nationwide to conduct the impartial review. Practice Velocity’s EMR and practice management software was rated highest.
“We’re honored and humbled to once again be listed #1 for urgent care software. We’re excited about our planned innovations in 2016 that we believe will keep us in that position,” said David Stern, MD, CEO of Practice Velocity.
Practice Velocity scored 85.9, compared to the competition’s score of 72.8, when asked “How do urgent care solutions compare?” In 2014, the medical software and services company spent $8 million to rehabilitate a vacated Kohl’s store in the former Machesney Park Mall. Practice Velocity built state-of-the-art offices in the 63,000-square-foot space.
“As healthcare continues to evolve, it is imperative that we seek innovation and constantly address the needs of a shifting market. The Best in KLAS and Category Leader winners are the ones making the greatest strides within their market segments. I congratulate each of you on your award,” said Adam Gale, CEO and president of KLAS. “KLAS is honored to work with talented healthcare providers who willingly share their experiences with us and make the Best in KLAS report possible. We also commend all the vendors who strive to improve their products and services in order to provide the best possible healthcare. It is truly a joint effort.”
When asked how Practice Velocity has continued to stay on top in the KLAS review, Chief Technology Officer Greg Wentz said: “I believe it’s the large emphasis we’ve placed on continuing to stay close to customers and support their needs. We’ve also invested heavily in research and development in recent years in our quest for continuous improvement of our products.”
